Holy Week: Preparing for Our Next Place of Ministry

Friday, Day 6: Faith in the Midst of Trials

Scripture: Isaiah 53:5 – “But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.”

Devotional:
Good Friday draws us into one of the most sobering yet powerful moments of our faith journey. It is the day we remember the cross—an instrument of suffering that became the doorway to salvation. Jesus endured betrayal, rejection, pain, and death, yet never wavered in obedience to the Father. What looked like defeat to the world was, in truth, the fulfillment of God’s redemptive plan.

Isaiah reminds us that Jesus was pierced and crushed not for His own wrongdoing, but for ours. His suffering carried purpose. His wounds released healing. This truth anchors us when we walk through trials of our own. Faith does not mean the absence of hardship; it means trusting God in the middle of it. Just as the cross stood between promise and resurrection, our current challenges may stand between where we are and where God is leading us.

As a ministry, the journey toward a new place of worship may feel heavy at times. Financial pressures, logistical hurdles, and moments of uncertainty can test our resolve. Yet Good Friday teaches us that God often does His deepest work in the darkest moments. What feels like delay may actually be divine preparation. What feels like pressure may be strengthening our faith and refining our unity.

The cross assures us that God is not distant from our pain. He is intimately acquainted with suffering and fully committed to bringing purpose out of it. Every prayer whispered, every tear shed, and every step taken in faith is seen by Him. No trial is wasted when placed in God’s hands.

Today, we choose to stand firm. We choose faith over fear and trust over doubt. The same God who brought resurrection after the cross is the God who is guiding our ministry forward. Victory may not be visible yet, but it is already in motion.

Encouragement:
Trust God’s process. What feels like a setback is often a setup for God’s greater glory and perfect timing.

Prayer:
Lord, strengthen our faith in the midst of every challenge. Help us to trust Your timing, Your purpose, and Your plan, even when the path is difficult. We place every obstacle in Your hands, believing You are at work.

Declaration:
I declare that our ministry will rise above every trial, anchored in faith, strengthened through sacrifice, and fully aligned with God’s purpose.
