In One Accord: 50 Days to Pentecost
Daily Devotional
Day 3 of 50 – The Power of His Word
Scripture (NKJV):
Matthew 28:6
“He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.”
Devotional Thought:
Three powerful words anchor our faith: “as He said.” Jesus didn’t just rise—He fulfilled what He had already spoken. The empty tomb is not only a miracle; it is proof that God keeps His Word.
Everything hinges on this truth: If He said it, He will do it.
When Jesus told His disciples He would rise again, it may have seemed impossible in the moment. Fear, grief, and doubt clouded their understanding. But God was not bound by their feelings—He was bound by His Word.
The same is true for you today. God’s promises over your life are not dependent on your current situation. They are not canceled by delay, doubt, or difficulty. His Word stands firm, unshaken by time or circumstance.
When life feels uncertain, go back to what He said.
When answers seem delayed, stand on what He promised.
When hope feels distant, remember the empty tomb.
The resurrection declares that not one word from God will fail. What He has spoken over your life—He will bring to pass.
Journal Prompt:
What has God spoken over your life through Scripture or prayer that you need to trust again today?
Write down 2–3 promises of God and reflect on how you can stand on them with renewed faith.
Prayer:
Father, thank You that Your Word is true and unchanging. Just as Jesus rose as You said, I trust that every promise You have spoken will come to pass in my life. Strengthen my faith when I feel uncertain, and help me to stand firmly on Your Word. Remind me daily that You are faithful to fulfill all that You have declared. I choose to believe, even when I cannot yet see. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
