In One Accord: 50 Days to Pentecost

Daily Devotional

Day 10 of 50 – Jesus Meets You Where You Are

Scripture:
Luke 24:36 (NKJV)
“Now as they said these things, Jesus Himself stood in the midst of them, and said to them, ‘Peace to you.’”

Devotional Thought:
There is something deeply comforting about this moment—Jesus doesn’t wait for the disciples to get it together. He doesn’t wait for their faith to be strong or their understanding to be clear. He simply shows up.

Right in the middle of their fear.
Right in the middle of their confusion.
Right in the middle of their conversation.

And His first words? “Peace to you.”

This is the heart of Jesus. He meets you exactly where you are—not where you think you should be. He steps into your present reality, not your perfected future. Whether you’re walking in confidence or wrestling with doubt, filled with faith or barely holding on, His presence is not withheld.

Sometimes we believe we need to fix ourselves before inviting Him in. But Jesus doesn’t require preparation—He desires permission. He is not intimidated by your questions, your struggles, or your unfinished story.

In fact, it’s often in those very places—raw, real, and unfiltered—that He speaks His peace the loudest.

Today, be reminded: you don’t have to strive to reach Him. He is already stepping into your space, offering His presence, His peace, and His grace.

Journal Prompt:
Where in your life do you feel uncertain, overwhelmed, or unfinished right now?
What would it look like to intentionally invite Jesus into that space today?

Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for meeting me right where I am. You see every part of my life—the areas I’m confident in and the places I struggle to understand. I don’t want to hide anything from You. I invite You into my thoughts, my emotions, my decisions, and my circumstances. Speak Your peace over me and remind me that I am never alone. Amen.
