Seeking God’s Will for Freedom Connections
Purpose of the Fast
This fast is not merely about acquiring a building—it is about alignment. We are seeking God’s will, His timing, and His preparation of our hearts to steward what He entrusts to us. Through fasting and prayer, we pursue clarity, unity, favor, and spiritual readiness.
Intentions:
- Wisdom for decisions regarding purchase, lease, or renovation
- Peace and unity among leaders and congregation
- Favor in negotiations, approvals, and conversations
- Discernment for God’s timing and confirmation
Choosing Your Fast
Food Fasting:
- Skip one meal a day and dedicate that time to prayer
- Abstain from a favorite food or drink
Non-Food Fasting:
- Limit social media, entertainment, or distractions
- Fast from complaining, criticism, or negativity
- Replace comforts with prayer, Scripture, journaling, or ministry planning
Daily Rhythm (Suggested)
Morning: Offer the day and the ministry property to God
During the Fast: When hunger or cravings arise, pray and meditate on Scripture
Evening: Reflect, journal insights, and give thanks
