Week 5 – Faith & Provision

Tuesday, Day 28 – Expecting God’s Favor in Every Step

Scripture: Psalm 5:12; Proverbs 3:3–4

As we continue fasting and praying for our ministry property, today we focus on expecting God’s favor in every step. Psalm 5:12 declares, “Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield.” Favor is God’s supernatural intervention that opens doors, smooths paths, and aligns circumstances with His will. When we pursue His guidance and obey His Word, we can confidently anticipate His favor.

Favor is not earned by human effort or persuasion—it is a gift from God for those who walk in righteousness, humility, and obedience. Proverbs 3:3–4 reminds us to “Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.” Integrity and devotion are magnets for favor in every area of life, including the ministry work God has called us to.

As we fast, each moment of sacrifice becomes an act of faith. Hunger and discomfort are transformed into reminders that God is able to provide for what we cannot control. Expecting favor requires a mindset shift—from anxiety about limitations to confidence in God’s abundance. It allows us to move forward boldly, even when the path is not fully visible.

Faith also positions us to recognize favor when it appears. Doors may open unexpectedly in negotiations, partnerships may arise at the right time, and resources may be provided in ways beyond human planning. God’s favor is often accompanied by peace, clarity, and opportunities that confirm His hand is at work.

Today, let us choose to anticipate blessing in every interaction, every meeting, and every decision. As we pray for the ministry property, speak favor over your leaders, the congregation, and every step toward the new place. Expect God’s favor not as a hope, but as a reality grounded in His promises.

Reflection/Application:

  • Reflect on areas where you feel uncertain or blocked and ask God to bring favor.

  • Speak Proverbs 3:3–4 aloud over your life and ministry.

  • Journal any small confirmations of God’s favor you notice today.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for surrounding us with Your favor. Help us walk in obedience and integrity so that Your blessings may manifest in every step. Open doors that no one can shut, align every circumstance with Your will, and let Your favor go before us as we move forward in faith. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
