Pastor Andy Zeggert is a servant leader, evangelist at heart, and a passionate follower of Jesus Christ whose life reflects a deep commitment to faith, outreach, and purposeful living. Before entering full-time ministry, Andy built a successful career in manufacturing operations, business development, marketing, and corporate sales. Known for his ability to identify problems and develop solutions, he thrived in the business world—but as his faith matured, he came to realize that true answers could not be found through human effort alone. This realization led him to fully depend on God’s guidance and wisdom.
Although Andy accepted Christ at the age of twelve, it wasn’t until the late 1990s that he fully surrendered his life to God’s calling. This pivotal moment transformed his direction and ignited a passion for reaching those who are lost, hurting, and searching for hope. What began as local involvement in church and community efforts quickly grew into a lifelong commitment to ministry, outreach, and missions.
Andy holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) and is a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) through the American Society for Quality. Answering a higher calling, he pursued theological training through Freedom Bible College, completing the required education and practical ministry experience before being ordained on September 16, 2007.
Today, Pastor Andy serves as Co-founder, Senior Pastor, and Executive Director of Freedom Connections, where he oversees multiple ministries dedicated to serving others and advancing the Gospel. Despite his leadership roles, he remains grounded in his identity as a student of the Word and a faithful follower of Christ. His primary focus is continually growing in his relationship with Jesus while helping others navigate their own spiritual journeys.
Outreach ministry is at the core of Andy’s calling. Whether serving in the Appalachian Mountains, coastal villages, or urban communities, his mission remains the same: to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and bring hope to those in darkness. For nearly three decades, he has traveled extensively, served in disaster relief efforts, and met people where they are—physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
In 2007, Andy and his wife Lisa followed God’s leading to the mountains of Tennessee, stepping into full-time ministry and deeply investing in the local community while continuing outreach efforts far beyond it. Today, they reside in Mooresville, North Carolina, where they are actively engaged in expanding their mission. Through the merging of Freedom Connections and Old Mill Ministries, along with the development of new ministries, they are reaching people locally, regionally, and nationally.
Pastor Andy is a firm believer in divine appointments—those moments orchestrated by God where lives are changed through timely obedience. He often says, “We must position ourselves to be in the right place at the right time, ready to share what someone desperately needs in that moment.” He also emphasizes that every person has been created with purpose, encouraging others to seek God’s plan and boldly walk it out.
Together, Andy and Lisa are committed to serving all people—body, soul, and spirit—including those facing financial hardship. Their ministry reflects the love, grace, and truth of God, offering not only practical support but the eternal hope found in Jesus Christ.
When he is not ministering, studying, or spending time in prayer, Andy enjoys fishing along the Atlantic Coast, cherishing time with family, and seeking God’s direction for what lies ahead.
