Before entering the ministry, Andy Zeggert worked in manufacturing operations and sales and marketing management. Much of his secular world career was in Business Development, Marketing, and Corporate Sales. Andy had always strived to identify problems and work on solving them, but as he grew as a Christian, he realized he needed more than his problem-solving skills. He began to turn to God for answers.
Pastor Andy attended the Libbie Owens Ford Coop Education at the University of Toledo. He earned a BSME nonaccredited degree and a Certified CQE through the American Society of Quality. Completed the education prerequisites, and practical experience while attending Freedom Bible College and was Ordained on September 16, 2007.
Andy had been a Christian since twelve but didn’t fully surrender to serving God until the late 1990’s. With this life-changing event, he led the local church, community, and religious organizations fueling his passion for the lost which grew into full-time ministry and outreach missions.
Today, Pastor Andy is the Co-founder, Senior Pastor, and Executive Director of Freedom Connections, overseeing and managing various ministries. He is still an evangelist at heart, called to a hurting world and those walking in darkness. He calls himself a student of the Word and a follower of Jesus Christ.
His focus is on growing his relationship with Christ as he helps others with their journey.
Pastor Andy also has a passion for Outreach Ministry. He says “It does not matter if we do outreach in the Appalachian Mountains, Coastal Villages, or Cities… we strive to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and to give hope to those who are lost.” For nearly 30 years, he has worked in ministry, traveling, helping, doing whatever is needed, and has been on several disaster relief mission trips. In 2007, Andy and his wife, Lisa, moved to the Mountains of Tennessee and went into full-time ministry serving that community and continuing to hold outreaches each year.
Andy says he is committed to going wherever God needs him to go, doing whatever God needs him to do, and saying whatever God needs him to say. He is an advocate of divine appointments. He says, “We all must do whatever we can to get to the right spot, at the right time, and to share something that someone desperately needs at that precise moment God had preordained.” He continues to say “We each have been created for a specific purpose and God has a plan for each of us. It is our responsibility to find our purpose and do it!.”
Pastors Andy and Lisa now live in Mooresville, North Carolina. They are excited about the merging of Freedom Connections, and Old Mill Ministries to better serve the needs of their community and mission outreach. Since then, several other ministries joined Freedom Connections and others have been birthed from within. They are accomplishing what God has put before them as they minister locally, regionally, and nationally. They have been set apart to share the Good News with the poor... body, soul, and spirit, which includes the financially poor. Collectively, they are ministering to the needs of all people showing the true love and grace of God as he offers eternal salvation through Jesus Christ.
When Andy is not doing ministry, studying, and spending time with God, you
can find him fishing on the Atlantic Coast, spending time with family and
planning what God has in store for the future.
